Meet Hope Richards: A Vampire With Secrets to Keep

What happens when a nearly 200-year-old vampire becomes involved in a murder investigation?

Meet Hope Richards, one of the main characters in my urban fantasy mystery First Bite, the first book in the Badge & Bite series.

Hope isn't your typical vampire.

She's spent generations learning how to survive in a world that can never know what she really is. Living in Riverbend, Oklahoma, she works as a private investigator, carefully balancing her ordinary life with the supernatural secrets she must protect.

But when a string of mysterious murders leaves victims completely drained of blood, Hope realizes something dangerous is happening in her city.

And Detective Nolan Cross is asking questions.

Questions Hope can't afford to answer.

As their investigations collide, Hope must navigate a growing threat, an exceptionally stubborn detective, and the possibility that the secrets she's protected for nearly two centuries may finally come to light.

I've created a special character spotlight video to bring Hope Richards to life and give readers a glimpse of the woman behind the mystery.
